Synergy by agriculture stakeholders only way to transform sector

Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki says that for agriculture to be transformed into a profitable and viable economic sector capable of attracting private investments, providing gainful employment and food security, there was need for synergy by all players.

“Transformation of the agriculture sector in line with the Jubilee Government priorities calls for fundamental reforms to enable farmers and other actors in the sector transit smoothly from subsistence production to market oriented ventures through adoption and use of modern technologies and business practices” the CS said when officially opening the 2016 Central Kenya Agricultural Show in Nyeri County on September 16.
